The second quarter of 2024 has been a dynamic period for the US Film & Television app category on the unified platform. Here's a close look at how the top apps fared, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies showed a remarkable increase in revenue, starting at $330K in early May and soaring to $38.3M by the end of June. Downloads peaked in late May with 93.6K before gradually declining to 48.1K. Weekly active users followed a rising trend, from 85.9K to an impressive 154.6K.

Netflix experienced a more subdued revenue trend, with figures oscillating between $5.6M and $8.4M throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a mid-quarter spike with 14.7K before settling at 13.6K. The platform's weekly active users showed a slight dip, starting at 731.9K and decreasing to 708.5K.
